Dr. Couch is a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction, largely focusing on primary total hip and knee replacement as well as complex revision arthroplasty procedures. With a robust educational background, Dr. Couch completed his residency at the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where he honed his surgical skills and developed a broad understanding of orthopedic medicine. Following residency, Dr. Couch pursued a fellowship with the Fondren Orthopedic Group at the renowned Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston, further refining his skills in innovative joint replacement techniques, including minimally invasive direct anterior hip replacement, muscle-sparing total knee replacement, and robotic surgery.
With over 15 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Couch is committed to advancing the field of orthopedics through research and innovation. His work has been recognized at various regional, national, and international conferences, showcasing his commitment to sharing knowledge and improving practices within the medical community. He has received multiple honors, including the Lumbar Spine Research Society Grant and Best Junior Resident Paper during his time in Pittsburgh.
